My stay at the hotel was enjoyable overall. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but the noise from the local bar below was a bit disturbing until late at night. The service was excellent, with friendly and helpful staff. The central location made it convenient to explore the city, although the proximity to bars meant some noise. The dining options around the hotel were diverse, offering various choices for meals.

The hotel's central location near Waverley station and key city attractions made it easy to access most parts of the city on foot. However, the presence of bars nearby did lead to some noise inconvenience.

The hotel is superbly located, just by Princes Street and minutes away from many amenities and attractions. The rooms, although large, lacked a mirror over the desk and had a slight damp smell on arrival. The service was excellent, with friendly staff always greeting us. The central location is definitely the highlight, making it easy to explore everything on foot. The dining experience offered authentic dishes, but it wasn't extraordinary. Overall, a standard refitted room, great service, and a prime location.

I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The rooms were spotless, and I couldn't believe how large and clean they were for the price. I will definitely be staying here again. However, the lack of heating made it very cold, especially at the back on the top floor.
Rooms
8.0
The rooms were clean and very spacious, making me feel like they were deliberately looking for faults because they were so pristine. Although there was no heating available, the size and cleanliness exceeded my expectations.
Service
7.0
The staff were incredibly helpful during my stay, but unfortunately, they couldn't accommodate our request to change rooms or move to another Travelodge. They explained we would have to walk quite a distance to another Travelodge in Edinburgh to validate our parking ticket, which was a bit inconvenient.

The location was perfect! Right in the center of town, close to shops, bars, and restaurants. Being only a few minutes walk from Waverley railway station, everything was easily accessible. The proximity to attractions like the Castle and Royal Mile made it ideal for exploring the city.

The dining experience was enjoyable; the breakfast options were filling and varied. I particularly liked the fresh-cracked eggs. Just a short walk away on Rose Street, there was a great option for a budget-friendly English breakfast, leaving me energized to explore the city.

The hotel offered great facilities, including plentiful dining options and a convenient location. The massive dining area allowed me to eat as much as I liked, and the easy access to restaurants and bars enhanced my overall experience.

My stay at the hotel was a mixed bag. The rooms were clean and comfortable, offering a good night's sleep with a comfy bed and big fluffy pillows. However, there was a persistent fishy smell in the hotel but not in the rooms. The power shower was excellent, but the hallway and lift area were overly warm. Fortunately, keeping the windows open in the room helped us regulate the temperature. Our room overlooked Rose Street and provided a lovely view of the sunrise over St Giles' Cathedral.

The hotel's location is unbeatable, right in the center of Edinburgh. Everything from the royal mile to markets and shops is within easy walking distance. Despite being central, there was very little noise both from the street and inside the hotel. Additionally, being near Princess Street Gardens and close to all local transport links made it extremely convenient for exploring.

The hotel is perfectly situated for a shopping trip along Princes Street, and the refurbished rooms are very clean, though a bit warm even with the windows open. The service staff are helpful, but there were minor issues with the broken elevator. The central location is ideal for exploring Edinburgh, close to Waverley Station and many attractions without being overly noisy. Dining options are plentiful around the hotel, offering convenience for those eager to explore the city. Overall, a solid choice for a stay in Edinburgh.
